Linda Lael Miller - Montana Creeds : Logan #1

Descendants of the legendary McKettrick family, the Creeds are renowned in Stillwater Springs, Montana—for raising hell…

After years of wandering, Logan Creed, a cowboy with a dusty law degree, has returned home. To put down roots, to restore his family's neglected ranch…to have kids of his own proudly bearing the Creed name.

Divorced mom Briana Grant has heard the stories about her gorgeous neighbor. So Logan's kindness with her young boys is a welcome surprise, especially when her ex reappears. And when an unknown enemy vandalizes her home, Logan shows Briana—and the folks of Big Sky country—just what he's made of.

So... after reading the last book I was in the mood for a little bit of Cowboy! I got this book last Christmas and its been sitting in my to read pile since then. I have read a couple of her books before and always was impressed with how well they were written. This one is the same. Great book, and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. She is such a talented writer. I have to admit though I usually stay away from books where one or both of the characters have kids... Usually in books I find them super annoying and thats a big turn off for a book. Bree's two kids were well written into the story, and very likable. So I didn't mind too much.I did really like how the two main characters were attracted to each other, no fighting, or yelling at each other, Logan was a perfect gentleman though the book and did all the things a girl wishes for in a man. (holds the door open for her, surprises her with dinner *sigh* This book was packed with romance. There was a lot of things going on in the book all at once towards the end, that might of been a bit too much, but everything got wrapped up well in the end. Very good book for those who like modern day cowboys!

Cowboy Fever - Joanne Kennedy

Miss Rodeo Wyoming Jodie Bryce is back from the big city to find that her childhood friend Teague Treadwell's rugged cowboy charm never looked better. But Teague thinks Jodie's success lifted her out of his reach, and now he's got to shed his bad boy image to be worthy of the girl next door.

All I have to say is WOW. I'm not a huge Country/Western book lover, more of a highlander fan, but I won this one and thought I'd give it a try! Boy am I glad I did! This is a very contemporary romance, it does have sex so if your looking for a super clean book this wont be for you. I absolutely loved this book, such a great story, packed with love, action and mystery. Couldn't put it down once I started, read almost all night.. well at least till I couldn't see straight , then had to finish up this morning. You will absolutely love these two characters. They are both so down to earth. They did fight their feelings for each other for a good part of the book, but it wasn't annoying to the point of where you wanted to kick the characters. This was a well written book that will definitely stay on my "keepers" shelf and I will be adding her other books to my to read pile! Highly recommend for those who love the bad boy cowboy!

The Surrender of a Lady - Tiffany Clare

THE PRICE OF PASSION…
Sold. With one word, Lady Elena Ravenscliffe’s destiny changes forever. Forced into Constantinople’s slave market to pay off her late husband’s debts and save her son, Elena reinvents herself as Jinan—a harem girl adored by the rich lords who bid on her favors. But one man instantly sees through her façade.

…IS COMPLETE SURRENDER
Griffin Summerfield, Marquess of Rothburn, let Elena slip through his fingers years ago. When he recognizes her on the auction block, he pays an outrageous sum to possess her even if it is for a short period of time. But when his deadline looms, Griffin will risk all in a desperate bid to make her his—and his alone…

So.... Im not sure how I would describe this book. I loved it but hated it? Hate is such a strong word.... Maybe dislike is a little better. I had such high hopes for this book. The whole him finding her in a harem, and wanting to be with her forever was such a great storyline, but its one of those books where one or both characters dislikes the other one...  but in reality they love/like each other they just don't want to tell the other one.... UGGG. I just wanted to shake the characters though the whole book. The book was pretty well written, i'll admit. There are some scenes in the book that make you want to fan yourself! I just wish that the book had a little more romance, him wooing her more... Them fighting, keeping secrets, not telling the whole truth , left me wanting to scream at them... All in all I couldn't put the book down... even though I had some issues with it.

Shadows of Myth and Legend - E.J. Stevens

A collection of dark faerie tales inspired by folklore, myth and legend told in the haunting lyrical style of dark poet E.J. Stevens. Filled with poems about vampires, werewolves, and other paranormal creatures of the night.

I won this one off http://www.fromtheshadows.info , Great Blog if you have a moment to check it out. I honestly wasn't sure what I was going to think of this one. When I read the back I kept thinking ... Paranormal, Fae, folklore .... This could be so good because I am absolutely in love with all things Fae and Paranormal! Or it could be horrible, because the author could just not understand the real folklore behind the Fae and  all other paranormal creatures and just make a whole bunch of stuff up and be a poser... All I have to say is I'm so happy I won this book!!! She definitely captured the real Fae, and what I pictured them to be like. I highly recommend this book to all those who are paranormal lovers! I am definitely recommending this one to all my friends! My 2 favorites was called Exile and Love of a Shifter. Such a great read! Here is one of my favorites!

Exile

Legs bound with cold iron
So you cannot flee
Wings wrapped in a glamour
For no human eyes to see

Stranded in the mortal realm
No magic to sustain your youth
A terrible price to pay
For seeking out the truth

Exiled from all Sidhe lands
Sent far from kith and kin
Judged by both Seelie courts
Guilty of our greatest sin
